Connect your Engr.bd email to your phone, laptop, or email client

The password you received in your welcome email

Setting up Apple Mail (iOS/Mac)

Open Settings → Mail → Accounts → Add Account

On Mac, go to Mail app → Preferences → Accounts → Add Account

Select "Other" (Not iCloud, Exchange, or Gmail)

This is important - don't select any of the pre-configured options

Select "Add Mail Account"

Enter your information:

  • Name: Your display name
  • Email: Your full Engr.bd email address
  • Password: Your email password

IMPORTANT: When it asks for Hostname, enter:

Incoming Mail Server:
mail.engr.bd
Outgoing Mail Server:
mail.engr.bd

Tap "Next" or "Save"

Your account should now be set up and ready to use!

Troubleshooting

Q: It says "Cannot Verify Identity" or "Certificate Error"?

A: Make sure you are using mail.engr.bd and not just engr.bd.

The full server address must include the "mail." prefix. Double-check your server settings match exactly.

Q: Can I use POP3 instead of IMAP?

A: We recommend using IMAP so your emails sync across all devices.

IMAP keeps your emails on the server and syncs them to all your devices. POP3 downloads emails to one device only, which can cause issues if you use multiple devices.

Q: My emails aren't syncing or I can't send emails?

A: Check the following:

  • Verify your username is your full email address (e.g., [email protected])
  • Ensure ports are correct: 993 for IMAP and 465 for SMTP
  • Make sure SSL/TLS encryption is enabled for both incoming and outgoing
  • Check your internet connection
  • Try removing and re-adding the account
